About Cloth & Kin

Hey, my name is Jess the founder of Cloth & Kin. I’m a mom of three boys, a creative, a small business owner, and a military wife. My life experiences and steadfastness fuel the vision and heart behind Cloth & Kin, and I’m so grateful to share this journey with you.

In 2017, I started Cloth & Kin as a creative outlet. What began with handmade, sustainable clothing for littles has grown into something much bigger than I ever imagined. All of our fabrics are sustainably and ethically sourced, and I design in collection-based drops to stay on top of current trends while still honoring slow fashion and slow living. It brings me so much joy to give moms the option to dress their littles in clothing made with care, intention, and ethical practices - pieces that are both beautiful and meaningful.

Human trafficking lit something in me from the moment I first heard about it, a fire I couldn’t explain. In 2013, I spent a season in Cambodia working at a safe house for child survivors. I’ll never forget one little girl.. so full of life and laughter, with strength in her eyes that left me changed forever. Her resilience shaped me, and her story fueled a passion in my heart that has never let go.

That dream is now a reality. The Kin House has officially launched, and Cloth & Kin continues to be a way to support that mission while creating sustainable, ethical pieces for families. Together, we’re weaving hope into every stitch.
